On Keeping Beautiful

Continuing on the theme of the previous post, how do you keep yourself looking good? I won't say young and beautiful. Because, as anyone who has hit their forties can tell you, there is no such thing as "keep looking young and beautiful". You can be beautiful, but you will look your age, which is no longer young. The sooner you come to terms with this fact the better off you are, and you will save yourself a few wrinkles by not having had to worry about looking old in the first place.

I don't consider myself vain. Although my feelings do get hurt when I get criticized for my looks and I do like a compliment once in a while, I don't think I stress over my physical appearance as some women. I always say I'm just too darn lazy to worry about make up, skin care products, perfumes, fashion and what have you. It seems like an awful waste of time to me. I'd rather spend that time reading or doing something constructive. But the older I get, I find myself wavering sometimes as many of age group worry about just the right creme or method to keep the dreaded wrinkles and sagging skin away. Maybe I am neglecting something important by not caring enough about my physical appearance? I'm not sure. I suppose I never will be sure until I've been dead and buried and look back at what made a difference. If that is even possible.

Anyway, I'm on the hunt for a good facial moisturizer and maybe a good foundation. Know of any? :-P

today someone asked me how do i take care of my face and skin.

I said, normal soap, whatever its there nearby, then Nivea creme.
She said, I did mine with nivea, but its not the same effect as you had.
I said, no.
The beauty that is the inside of the heart reflects the outside appearance of the personality.
Avoid people that gives you stress, problems, negative comments.
Choose those that make you laugh, then you feel young and glowing.
Di ba ganun?

Thanks for visiting my site! I usually don't use facial creams but when I do I use seawater products from The Body Shop. It makes my face feel smooth and it doesn't dry out my skin.
