Hoodia What?

Ever heard of hoodia? No? I hadn't either before today. Hoodia is a succulent plant that grows in the Kalahari Dessert but can also be found in Botswana, Namibia and Angola. It is said that the Kalahari bushmen have been eating the hoodia to stave off hunger during nomadic hunting trips. Apparently something in the chemistry of the plant signals your brain to thinking that it is full thus keeping you from being hungry. Scientist have found that this property could be a very useful aid in weight loss and developed the hoodia patch. The patch, derived from the hoodia plant, claims to suppress appetite, increase energy and promote weight loss.
