Aint no mountain high enough...

I can't get off the high. I've been giddy all week. I have never felt this much emotion over who won the presidency before. Maybe I am drawing from the energy of others around me. We get calls still from friends and relatives who are still also floating on the euphoria. Friends are already planning on going to DC for the inauguration in January. We want to go too. We want to take the girls to witness this historic event.

Imagine, when children of color now say 'I want to be President when I grow up' it's no longer an abstract dream. It's a reality. It is their time, their world. I can't get off the high and I don't want to. I know now, "Yes, we can!"
