Playing House

play stove
When I was young I used to love to play house. Whether I only had a cardboard box to play with or an intricate wooden play kitchen set, it would be good enough to keep me occupied for hours! Well it turns out nothing much has changed now that I'm grown with my own kitchen. I still spend hours in there tinkering, experimenting and serving anyone who happens to set themselves down at my table.

When my girls were younger, they were the same way. They loved playing house! We had a whole play house corner set up for them in their room and they would spend hours in there playing! I wish I had known about The Kinder Garden toy store back then. Luckily for the internet, almost every small store now can have a wider audience. They actual store is located in the historic downtown district of Skaneateles, New York. They carry the cutest collection of kid's toys from stuffed animals, wooden toys, puzzles, and these adorable kitchen sets. Oh they also have great dress-up clothes for kids and some of the toys offered on the site are hand-made and unique. It's a great site for anyone looking for unique gifts that are not usually found in your run of the mill department store.

Perfect Gifts for Kids

BabiesI think babies and young kids are the most fun to shop for gifts for. But then, the joys of Christmas is really designed for the young at heart. My greatest pleasure comes from watching the faces of the kids when they receive a present.

Having all girls, I know their most enjoyable presents were their dolls. Dolls aren't on their lists anymore but all the dolls they've gotten over the years still hold a special spot in their lives. They won't part with them. I understand that perfectly since I still have a couple of MY dolls from when I was a kid :)

If you are looking for reasonably priced toys for the little ones on your gift list, make sure to check out Small World Toys. They have a nice selection of toy brands that are not only fun to play with but are educational as well.

When ordering, make sure you use the coupon code: SALE142 in order to get a 20% discount from your order. Keep in mind that if you order more than $50 your order will be shipped for FREE.

Monster Trucks

With Christmas fast approaching, we can all use tips on great gift ideas. One sure-to-please gift are Remote Control Cars. They are not just for boys, even my girls love them! Asi has a big monster truck remote car that she's had since she was seven.

My husband likes to talk about how when he was young he loved building model cars from kits and this would always be on his Christmas wish list. Now, how awesome is it that you can not only build your model cars like he used to, but now you can motorize them so that you can actually drive them remotely! Whether you're an old pro at building remote control cars or just a novice, you can learn everything you need to know about remote control cars from this website. They have tons of articles, how-to information, product reviews and comparisons, and just lots of neat stuff on remote control cars. You can spend hours following one link to another!

Now if you are into something extreme, you've got to check out Nitro RC Cars. I didn't know you could have a gas powered RC car! If you didn't know this either, they will walk you through the process with tips and advise on which ones to get and learn how to maintain one once you do.

Now my Asi, I know she'll like these RC Trucks. The ones on the website are similar to the one she's had forever. I know she'll be salivating if she sees these monster trucks. Actually, so will be her dad. Hmmm.....don't know whether they should see this site after all or not.

Do you have a remote enthusiast in your house?

The Clone's Kingdom

Mara & Joselee bunnyI've told you about Mara Bunny before, now meet Joselee Bunny, her sister. They live in The Clone's kingdom of stuffed animals. It seems like wherever we go, whatever we do whenever there is a stuffed animal around, at least one of them inevitably comes home with us.

On a recent trip to Las Vegas, the kingdom grew just a little bit more. We either have to extend the kingdom or we're going to have evicting some citizens. What's your solution to the growing stuffed animals kingdom? Surely you have this problem too? I can't be the only one who is getting buried in these furry things! Am I?
