To the moon, the stars, and beyond

Summer will be officially upon us in a few days, and I know we will be spending much more time outdoors especially since the kids will be getting out of school after this week. One of our favorite activities outdoors is star gazing. Asi has one of the basic Meade telescopes that we use to peer up at the stars, but now Meade has come out with this new computerized binoculars.

The hottest new astromy gadget is Meade MySky. It is an interactive personal planetarium that locates and identifies celestial objects. It has a full color LCD screen for viewing and reference. Reviews say this MySky is easy to operate and the on screen menu is intuitive. Opticsplanet.com not only sells this item but also tons of binoculars and telescopes. The best thing is, for all orders over $29.95, you get free UPS shipping.

I think this gadget may be worth bookmarking as a christmas or birthday gift for any budding astronomer.
