Gearing up for the Holidays

Today it's warm and bright and it's time to get back to back to school. Before you know it, it will be cooler and the holidays will be here again and the mad scramble for holiday shopping will start. Here in the U.S. where Thanksgiving is celebrated on the last Thursday in November, there is a phenomenon called Black Friday which occurs the following day. It could be the turkey or the general overindulgent feasting on Thanksgiving, but the following day, people have been traditionally prone to go out and start off the holiday shopping frenzy. The stores have caught on to this and now make it a point to offer huge bargains to further entice shoppers to come out and walk off all the turkey and pies from Thanksgiving and lighten their wallets. Most of the time, the advertisements for the sales are kept secret until the very last days prior so as to create an even bigger sense of anticipation among shoppers. Now you can take a preview of or get email notices on black friday ads. Now you can plan your course of action, or if you're like me and hate crowds, you can even start ordering online, in the comfort of your own home. Yep, you can just sit at your computer after Thanksgiving and give that feast some time to slowly work its way into the nooks and crannies of the muscles you save by not trekking to the sales :) Did I convince you to sit on your fanny, or are you still going to put on your battle gear and conquer Black Friday?
