Daydreaming Spain

I love to travel and one of the places I haven't been to yet is Spain. I would love to go to Spain! As the girls get older and become more interested in traveling, we have looked into affordable ways to travel as a family. So let me continue my dreaming.....

Although we can hit up a few people to crash with while in Madrid or Barcelona, we wouldn't want to wear out our welcome so we'd probably want to stay in a hotel or some other form of accommodation. Plus, knowing us, we would probably be more comfortable to have some private down time anyway. Accommodations can be one of your biggest expenses when traveling, so it helps when you have a good resource to turn to.

A must stop for us is Madrid to visit families and see the sights. I found this site which provides affordable hotels world wide. Hotels in Madrid for instance can be as low as 25 euros a night for a one star hotel to 99 euros for a five star hotel. If you have a flexible schedule and can go at the last minute, you can get even cheaper deals. Of course what would a Spanish tour be if you didn't plan on stopping in Barcelona where you can get as Gaudi as you want to be. For hotels in Barcelona, you can get the same affordable deals the the CheaperThanHotels website. What's more if hotels are not your thing, the website also offers deals on apartments and hostels in both cities. The rates offered are generally lower than booking directly with individual hotels and usually include lots of extras.
