Hexham, England B&B

Any savvy traveler will tell you that the best way to get to know a place, any place, is to get off the well beaten tourist traps and get to know the locals. One of the best ways to do this is to stay at a bed and breakfast like Gibson Hill Farm, the featured hexham bed and breakfast. Most of these places are in old family homes that have been in the region for a long time and are usually run by locals or at the very least someone who loves showing off their town. You get a home style hospitality, great accommodations at comparable prices and priceless experience mingling with the locals.

Hexham is a small town on the northeastern part of England. Like many English towns, it has a long history. Though it is a small town, it is an old town which dates back to the 11th century. While visiting, don't miss Roman ruins like Hadrian's wall or the old Roman fort of Vindolanda.
