We are buying a new stove and washer. This is our Christmas present to ourselves. But before we can have them delivered, we have to figure out what to do with out old stuff. The washer, it is a no brainer, we'll just have them haul it away and junk it. The stove, however, still works fine. It's a electric stove though and we're switching to a gas one. We're thinking we'd find someone who needs a stove or donate it to one of the local charities that takes used appliances.
In the mean time, a cousin calls us and while we were telling him about the stove, he goes, oh I sure hope what happened to me won't happen to you. So we asked, what happened to you? Do you remember that antique stove you helped me locate a few years back and had it restored? Yeah? Well, I moved apartments and the movers New York dropped it down a flight of stairs! OMG, I'm sure that won't be happening to us. We only have to step down to get out of the back door. lol!
