12 Lesser Known Shopping Sites with Great Deals

I received this via email and thought I would share it here since it's that time again when most of us are trying to find just the right deals for Christmas. We'd love to be able to get everything on everyone's wishlist, but of course it would help a lot if we can ge those things without breaking the bank, so to speak. So here are a few websites that offer some pretty amazing deals that you may not have heard of.

1. Baby Steals sells a limited number of baby or maternity items daily at 50-80 percent off the retail price until it's gone.

2. Mamabargains offers two to 10 deals a day on products geared toward parents and kids ages birth to 10.

3. thredUP is a kids clothing swap site where you can trade boxes of outgrown sizes for what your kids need now.

4. This Frugal Life offers tutorials on how to take advantage of coupons and also has freebies and discounts on various items your family can use.

5. Shopping Nanny will help you find deals and add them to your grocery store's loyalty discount card. The site charges an annual fee so I don't know how much of a deal this really is.

6. Dealicious Finds offers national grocery store coupon matchups, online shopping deals, and video tutorials. A testimonial claims a reduction of a $207 grocery bill down to $2.50. Sound good to you? It does to me.

7. Your Green Helper features cost-effective, eco-friendly deals, steals, tips, coupons, samples, and reviews on organic and all-natural items.

8. Grocio makes your coupon search and cutting even easier. Just give them your list and they will find the deals for you.

9. Moms Who Save lists coupon codes and deals, printable grocery coupons, freebies, and low-cost family activities. Tips from other moms who may be looking for the same things as you come in quite handy.

10. A network of frugal bloggers share their knowledge of how to live inexpensively. Get deals on clothing, entertainment, groceries, dining, travel, and more.

11. Southern Savers dissects the art of sales cycles, add-on coupons, and organizational methods, while offering frugal menu plans, coupons, and alerts about freebies, samples, and in-store deals.

12. Kidzola is a site where you can buy and sell anything and everything for kids -- new, handmade, or used.

I apologize in advance to whoever compiled this list. Since it was emailed to me, the original source was not noted and I haven't had much luck finding it by searching for "12 Lesser Known Shopping Sites with Great Deals" online without running into a bunch of ads for colon cleanser and the like. Anyway, I hope it helps you. I'm checking some of them myself.

Artsy Way to Make Money

My girls love arts and crafts and Jade, who was the one who got me started blogging, now wants to open an online store. Now she wants to sell her handmade cards and designer jewelry online. I guess this is what some of her online friends are doing and some of them are actually making money from it. That's great, but now I have to learn something else totally new. Like how to open an online store!

I did see Etsy recently though, and it may be a way for her to start until she can figure out how shopping carts work on her own.

What else....

I know, I already told you about NaBloPoMo. I'm doing it! I didn't realize that getting started was going to be so hard. You'd think it would be toward the end that I start petering out, but this past week, I actually had to do some last minute posting just to make it before midnight on certain days. But, one week down, three more to go!

Yesterday, I told everyone about What's Your Story. If you're a creative writer, this may be good place for you to get some inspiration. Especially if you're doing NaBloPoMo. I am not a creative writer myself, and even with the prompts I have a hard time thinking of something to write about. So that's why you mostly read me talking about the kids, or what I did for the day, boring stuff like that. I really should challenge myself more though.

Then on Found Not Lost, I wrote up reviews for the first two books in the Twilight series by Stephanie Meyers. I am just loving that series right now and I'm getting ready to read book 3 and 4 a second time! I already read book 1 twice :) in the same weekend. Yeah it's that good!

I'm getting ready to cook something up in the Kitchen, so stay tuned for that.

Not at this address

SisterO recently ordered a piece of jewelry for her daughter who is four years old. I guess she is already getting her holiday shopping started. Funny thing is, well maybe not so funny for her, they delivered the package to my house! Haha! I thought I had hit the jackpot getting a package from a jewelry store. It turned out, she merely forgot to clear the auto complete form from the last time she ordered, so it still had my address as the Ship To address. She had a heck of a time getting it re-directed. No, not cause I held on to it! It wouldn't have fit me anyway. lol! I returned it to the shipper and told them this is the wrong address and they need to return it to the sender so that they can send it to the correct address. About two weeks later, the same package is at our doorstep again!! SisterO is ready to pull her hair out. Now she is threatening to just cancel the whole thing.
